Library funds are always less than the need to keep a vibrant, up to date collection. Sun ‘n Lake Elementary is beginning a "Birthday Book Club" (BBC) for the 2011-2012 school year. This exciting program is one in which you can celebrate your child’s birthday in a special way while helping our library collection continue to grow. By participating in the Birthday Book Club, your child’s special day will be honored for years to come. How does the BBC work? It's simple! Fill out the form and return it with a check ($15 per book). When your child's birthday arrives he/she will be invited to select a new book from our "Birthday Book Club" box. We will have a bookplate placed in it honoring your child and add it to the library collection. Members of the BBC will have an announcement made on the morning news show and will receive a special bookmark. The Birthday Book will be on display in the media center the birthday month of the child and then the birthday child will have the honor of being the first to check out the new book. What about summer birthdays? These students can celebrate theirs in May. When completing the form please fill in the actual birthday. To participate in the Birthday Book Club please send the forms in as soon as possible. If you have any questions please call me at 471-5464. Your generosity will benefit all Sun ‘n Lake students.
