Welcome parents, teachers, and students to LCE's Fall Concert          The Fall Concert was directed by Mrs. White and featured Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade students.  Guests heard precious voices sing songs about some of the holidays and special days that occur during the season of fall.

The Kindergarten classes of Mrs. Sheehan, Mrs. Claire, and Mrs. Troutman kicked-off the concert with songs about events that happen during the month of September.  The biggest happening is, of course, starting school.  “I’m So Glad to Be Here” is a song of welcome, which they followed with a song about the alphabet, “ABC Blues”.  They finished their portion of the program with a song for Grandparents’ Day, which was celebrated on September 7th.

The next performers in the program were the 1st Grade classes of Mrs. Wirick, Mrs. Holden, and Mrs. Price.  October is Hispanic Heritage Month so they began with a song from Mexico entitled “Counting Song”, which the students sang in Spanish and English.   Next was a song for United Nations Day, which was celebrated on October 24, entitled “This Day of Peace”.  They concluded with a spooky song for Halloween, “The Pumpkin March”.

The last performers in the program were the 2nd Grade classes of Mrs. McHargue, Mrs. Diefendorf's, and Mrs. Barajas.  They shared with us songs about November.  They began with the song “Pilgrims” that tells us the story of the first Thanksgiving.   Next was the song “I Walk in Beauty” which was written by a woman from the Navajo nation.  This song is sung to honor and remember the American Indians and their culture.  Finally, they concluded the program with a humorous song for the turkey, “The Turkey Woogie”.
