Cracker Trail and the School Board of Highlands County takes the safety of its students and employees seriously. Staff will always look for a badge of all visitors on campus and will politely confront a visitor who does not have a badge prominently displayed.

Our school employs the use of the V-Soft visitor registry program. This program is designed to help campus administrators maintain positive identification of all visitors and to identify those individuals who are listed as Registered Sexual Offenders (RSO) who might desire to enter our school. Procedures for visiting the school:

1. All visitors should only enter the front office to state their reason for visiting.
2. If access to campus is requested, please be prepared to present a government issued ID for us to scan to receive a visitor's badge. Visitors are also role models to students to whom they directly or indirectly come into contact with. We expect visitors to be appropriately dressed, and conform to the student dress code.
3. Exit and checkout through the front office at the end of your visit.

If you are interested in volunteering at our school, we would welcome and thank you! Please check with your child's teacher, or our volunteer coordinator, Mrs. Inagawa, for more information.

All parents, family members and friends who may want to volunteer time on field trips do need to be pre-approved by the School Board of Highlands County. Please see the front office or your child's teacher for a volunteer form. All parents/volunteers should park in front of the school in the designated areas.
