Breakfast Buddies
We introduced a new parent involvement program at Cracker Trail that was very successful during the 2010-2011 school year. The program is called Breakfast Buddies. The idea is to increase parent involvement and is modeled after All-Pro Dads created by Tony Dungy. Students are allowed to invite one parent, grandparent, or guardian to join him/her for breakfast. It has been proven that children with involved parents are more likely to succeed in school and life.

Our first program for the new school year will be August 30, 2011. Each event is planned for the 4th Tuesday of each month. Please check the school calendar for any changes or exceptions. Every program will run from 7:15 am to 8:00 am. All program agendas will include: different guest speakers, mingle time with your child, door prizes, and a yummy free breakfast! It will occur in the cafeteria. Please make sure to be on the lookout for your RSVP form, so that an accurate count can be given. Due to the numbers, the RSVP form must be returned to the school by the given date. This is important so that we will have PLENTY of food, beverages, and seating.

Through parent involvement and community partners we have been able to bring this program to CTE families at no cost. If you are interested in helping financially or as a guest speaker please contact the front office.
