Mrs. Vermylie was selected for a $10,000 classroom makeover!
A dream came true last spring thanks to the Got2B Safe! Program, sponsored by Honeywell. A simple lesson plan led to a trip to Washington D.C. being honored at the HOPE Awards, meeting John and Reve Walsh, Nancy Grace and many more who are involved with this worthy program.

Another bonus to this award was a $10,000 classroom makeover! This money is being used to enhance learning with a makeover from floor to ceiling Rainforest theme, with new paint, shelving, flooring and every teachers dream - technology. This is truly an honor since, this was an award that only 4 other teachers in the nation received.
